P&G Ventures fuels its parent company’s growth by creating new brands and businesses that solve consumers’ everyday problems in product categories where P&G does not currently provide a solution.

P&G Ventures functions as a startup studio within Procter & Gamble. It takes a new approach to creating brands by developing both internal and external ideas, as well as by creating unique partnerships that bring in early-stage startups to help them grow. It not only provides funding and expertise, but also functions as an incubator that’s intimately involved in growing startups. P&G Ventures is designed to serve entrepreneurs; this integral element of its mission is a critical point of differentiation.

The P&G Ventures Innovation Challenge is an open call for entrepreneurs to submit their innovative products for a chance to partner with P&G Ventures to create the next billion-dollar brand.

A total of three finalists will be selected and given the opportunity to present their products to the P&G Ventures leadership team in-person at CES 2019. The ultimate winner will be selected by a panel of expert judges, including Leigh Radford, Vice President and General Manager of P&G Ventures, and David Cohen, Founder and co-CEO of Techstars.

Radford said of the Innovation Challenge, "P&G Ventures provides expertise and funding for entrepreneurs. Our partners find that our expertise in areas like R&D, brand building, and manufacturing are valuable to startups. Entrepreneurs bring unique know-how, experience, and agility. Together, we create wins-wins!"

P&G Ventures is interested in fast-moving, consumable products in retail, direct-to-consumer, digital, device and service-enabled business models. The firm's focus on these areas is driven by its understanding of the factors that will power global consumption in the future and the ways in which products will be consumed. Any product submissions must address one of these needs:

  • Alleviating Symptoms of Menopause
  • Treating Chronic Skin Conditions & Symptoms
  • Improving Sleep Through Environment
  • Caregiving For the Aging
  • Maintaining a Non-Toxic Home
  • Maximizing Mental and Physical Performance
